Warsaw,
Polish entrepreneurs were very quick to spot and capitalize on potential markets when the Iron Curtain fell. Which is why CEDES established a subsidiary there to cater for the sensor and light
curtain needs of the everincreasing number of Polish enterprises.
“Our ELS range of single-beam sensors is very popular - for
detecting a person or object, and for people-counting in public areas,” explains managing director of CEDES Poland, Lech Dyszlewicz. “The key advantage is they are very fast and reliable when it comes to people-counting. Their small size makes them almost invisible with a wall-recessed mounting. Thanks to the snap-in mounting, they are easy to install inside metal or plastic profiles. Customers appreciate the fact they require such small current consumption,” he
adds.

ELS range means more than providing simple people-counting systems
Polish company, Letronik, is an example of where a CEDES product not only offered top performance but also improved the
performance of the customer’s company itself. Letronik helps many shopping malls in Warsaw track the number of shoppers. Their surface mounted counting systems have separate displays or can be connected to a PC with simple Letronik software.
Mr Leszek Łoboda, managing director of Letronik, says using CEDES' ELS range means more than providing simple people-counting systems. "We have used ELS now for many years. Before I discovered them, I had to invest a lot of time and energy into making my own light barriers. Being a small company, but one that wants to grow, using ELS means I can concentrate on controllers, and carry-out the day-to-day business of Letronik. ELS provides not only a sensor solution, but a very practical company solution too," he
remarks.

ELS 300 is now TÜV-certified
The ELS 300 range of sensors received its TÜV certificate in
January. The ELS 300 family is the successor to the ELS 263 range and also comprises an integrated controller. ELS 300 is suitable for all kinds of Category 2 applications. It features both hardware and
software improvements to enhance its excellent detection rate, even under harsh conditions. There is a broad range of different sensor types for various applications, from the short type (1.2 m) to the long-range version (12 m). More information on the through-beam sensor ELS 300 and its TÜV certificate, can be found at
