The
CEDES ELS family is well-known in the market as a high-quality, inexpensive through-beam sensor.
There are various applications involving the ELS (also well-known as
a photo cell) in which individual or dual light curtain systems are
utilised. Dual light curtain systems are often installed to ensure
the safety of automatic doors. The evaluation unit of an ELS system
can optimally analyse one or two light beams.
Using the latest technology, CEDES guarantees the reliability of the ELS 268 and ELS 269 for the entire service life of a
system. The intensity
of the infrared light is continually adjusted to the optimum output,
ensuring LED longevity.
The compact size of the sensor head, the simple “snap-in”
mechanism and the broad aperture angle facilitate installation. The
function of the light curtain itself is not influenced by maximum
sunlight (about 100'000 lux).
