Since 70% of elevator breakdowns are caused by the door, that is where our IoT-enabling hardware goes. The light curtain cegard/Smart NT is equipped with additional sensors to collect data on elevator health and traffic round the clock. This data is then processed and visualized in our cloud-based IoT platform CEDES Elevate to provide maintenance advisory and valuable insights into elevator usage.  

cegard/Smart NT is a good fit for both new installations and modernization projects. It is designed to replace other CEDES light curtains, allowing you to activate the remote monitoring functionality right away or at a later time. It can be paired with various controllers for the desired applications, incl. 3D door safeguarding, emergency communications, object recognition and people counting. You can also choose to equip cegard/Smart NT with the cegard/Smart InfoLight Kit – LED stripes indicating the status of the door – for increased passenger safety in high-traffic buildings such as hospitals or hotels.
