FIELDBOSS

FIELDBOSS - All-in-One Field Service Management Software

FIELDBOSS is a cloud-based field service management platform designed specifically for the elevator industry. Built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, it replaces outdated paper systems with a unified, digital solution for scheduling, work orders, service history, and compliance tracking. Technicians receive real-time updates and log their work via mobile devices, making field operations more efficient. FIELDBOSS’s focus on elevator service includes tools for asset management and safety test scheduling, enabling higher productivity and streamlined workflows.

By combining CEDES’ smart sensor technology with FIELDBOSS’s service workflows, elevator companies can stay ahead of problems, reducing downtime and improving safety for passengers. The integration essentially connects insights to outcomes: when CEDES sensors detect an issue, FIELDBOSS immediately dispatches the right response. The result is a seamless, closed-loop system that optimizes elevator safety, compliance, and service efficiency.

Integration overview

Once CEDES’s cloud platform registers a “Suspected shutdown”, it doesn’t stop at passive monitoring – it takes action by communicating directly with FIELDBOSS. The integration between CEDES and FIELDBOSS uses software hooks (and Microsoft’s Power Automate in the background) to instantly create a service ticket in the FIELDBOSS system whenever a critical sensor alert comes through. In practical terms, if an elevator gets stuck, a work order is automatically generated in FIELDBOSS, complete with all relevant details (timestamp, location, fault description). The platform can then automatically assign the ticket to a technician on call. The technician can head out immediately, armed with preliminary diagnostics from the CEDES data. By the time building managers or tenants might be calling in a problem, the service team is already responding. In case the elevator would selfrecover, the system updates the ticket status and the technician would be able to avoid a running on arrival scenario.

This closed-loop process greatly reduces downtime. Many elevator issues can be resolved faster because the lag between failure detection and service response is near zero. Overall, connecting CEDES sensors to FIELDBOSS’s ticketing system translates into a more reliable elevator service with minimal interruptions – problems are addressed as soon as they’re detected, and often before passengers even notice a slowdown or shutdown. The building owners and elevator users benefit from a safer, smoother ride, and the service contractors benefit from efficient, automated workflows.
