CEDES reviews premiere of the E2 Forum in Frankfurt

10/15/2018
The E2 Forum celebrated its premiere at the exhibition grounds Messe Frankfurt on 18 and 19 September 2018. The event focused on innovation, digitisation and sustainability in tomorrow’s buildings. E2 stands for elevators and escalators.

The Forum was organised by Messe Frankfurt with the support of the German Elevators and Escalators Division of the VDMA (Association of German Machine and Plant Manufacturers) and will take place every two years. Its aim is to establish dialogue between planners and decision-makers in building management.

A total of 420 experts and 34 exhibitors from the elevator and escalator industry came to Frankfurt for the event. The combination of networking and conference as well as high-quality specialist and company presentations received a positive response.

CEDES had a stand at the Forum and Andreas Hunziker, CEDES Managing Director EMEA & RoW, delivered a speech on “A building is only as intelligent as its sensors”.

When reviewing the event, Hunziker says: “The premiere was a great success: Where else do you find all the decision-makers of the German elevator industry together in a relaxed atmosphere? The E2 Forum has paid off twice for us: On the one hand, we were able to present our future-oriented sensors to key people and, on the other hand, we obtained an insight into the future development of the industry through informative specialist presentations. We are convinced that the word of the quality and professionalism of the event will spread among architects and planners and that the next E2 Forum will see greater participation of this group. We, at CEDES, will definitely be part of it again in two year’s time!”
