The CEDES Group is active in the field of sensor technology based on photonics. The product range extends from simple light barriers to highly complex, processor-controlled 3D camera systems using the latest TOF (time-of-flight) technology. 

The R&D department is responsible for the development of new, future-oriented products, as well as further development and optimization of our existing product portfolio. Join our team.

Your area of responsibility

• Evaluation and development of mechanical and optical components as well as materials in R&D projects 
• In-house production and product support in cooperation with suppliers
• Creation and management of product documentation according to CEDES process rules
• Information hub between suppliers, Purchasing, R&D and Production with regard to mechanical and optical components
• Conducting initial sample tests
• Support and organization of prototype manufacturing
• Support in change management, implementing and triggering necessary actions
• Support to Product Management and Marketing in creating 3D models
• Support to design technician apprentices desirable

Our requirements

• Basic education as design technician and a higher Technician (HF) or Bachelor (FH) degree
• Good user skills of 3D CAD, preferably Solidworks
• Experience in designing die cast and injection molded parts
• Solid knowledge of materials, production processes, design and standards
• Ability to work in a team and to cooperate with other departments
• Autonomous way of working and assertiveness
• Quick grasp and readiness to learn new technologies
• Knowledge of optical systems would be an advantage
• Project management skills would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
