Daan Smans is no stranger to the elevator industry, having worked in different roles at TKE and recently as Product Director at relayr, where he was responsible for the predictive maintenance solution SKYLER Elevate. “Daan is a long-time friend of mine, and a friend of CEDES”, says our CEO Patrick Bass. “He played an important part in bringing CEDES and relayr together and developing our joint IoT solution”. In his new role, Daan will lead the implementation of our new business model across both our business units, Elevator & Escalator and Entrance Automation, with a team of data scientists and product managers reporting to him. 

Daan shares our passion for technology and exploring new ideas, which he discovered in his early years. “As a kid I always wanted to be an inventor,” he says. “I spent many days taking my parents` latest electronic gadget apart, wondering how I could use my ingenuity to make the world a better place.” We are looking forward to building a better world together!
